Edible flavors can be divided into baked food flavors, soft drink flavors, candy flavors, meat product flavors, dairy product flavors, condiment flavors, fast food flavors, microwave food flavors, etc.

 

Each category can also be subdivided, such as dairy flavors can be divided into milk flavors, yogurt flavors, cream flavors, butter flavors, cheese flavors, etc.

 

Two misunderstandings about the cognition of edible flavors

 

One is that food should not be spiced or flavored. The improvement of living standards in modern society and the acceleration of the pace of life make people more and more like to eat fast and convenient processed food, and hope that the food flavor should be delicious and rich and varied, which must be achieved by adding edible flavors. The prevalence of "wealthy diseases" such as high blood pressure, high blood lipids, and fatty liver makes people more and more want to eat more vegetable protein foods, such as soybean products, and require delicious spices, which can only be achieved by adding corresponding edible flavors.

 

Second, foreigners do not eat and rarely eat food with added flavors. Edible flavors are "imported products", and the more developed countries, the higher the per capita consumption of edible flavors. The per capita consumption of food flavors and edible flavors in my country is higher. The per capita consumption of food flavors and edible flavors in my country is far lower than that of the United States, Japan, and developed countries and regions in Western Europe.
